Todd is a typical American man. His proportions are based on averages from CDC anthropometric data. As a U.S. male age 30 to 39, his body mass index (BMI) is 29; just one shy of the medical definition of obese. At five-feet-nine-inches tall, his waist is 39 inches.

The world over the past three decades has come to witness an ominous and entirely new form of gender discrimination: sex-selective feticide.  The feticide is implemented through the practice of surgical abortion with the assistance of information gained through prenatal gender determination technology. Boys reach sexual maturity younger and younger

Male maturity age has shifted again.

Boys are maturing physically earlier than ever before. The age of sexual maturity has been decreasing by about 2.5 months each decade at least since the middle of the 18th century. Joshua Goldstein, director of the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock (MPIDR), has used mortality data to demonstrate this trend, which until now was difficult to decipher. What had already been established for girls now seems to also be true for boys: the time period during which young people are sexually mature but socially not yet considered adults is expanding…

Men Are Twice as Likely to Crash Their Cars Than Women Drivers

The news women have been waiting to hear — men are the worst drivers.  Men are twice as likely to crash because of distractions ; more than one in 10 who had an accident admitted it happened after they became distracted at the wheel, compared with one in 20 women according to a new study.

Who Is the World’s Most Typical Person?

National Geographic collected statistics on the world’s population (which currently stands at 7 billion). Do you know what they found? Apparently, the most average/typical/frequent person on this planet is male, 28-years-old and is Han Chinese in ethnicity (with 9,000,000 alive). But they didn’t stop there. Taking images from 190,000 of those fitting the criteria, researchers created a composite image to show what the most average person looks like.

Pregnant Male Seahorses Selectively Abort and Consume Young from Ugly Females

Seahorses and a few related fish are the only species where the males can get pregnant. These males take eggs from females and nurture them in their brood pouches. Researchers have discovered that these males may selectively abort young resulting from mating with less attractive females.
