World’s first riot-control drone fires pepper spray and paintballs at protesters

South Africa-based Desert Wolf, the maker of a drone that fires pepper spray bullets, says it has received its first order for the machine. The company told the BBC it had secured the sale of 25 units to a mining company after showing off the tech at a trade show.

Inkjet Facade Printer Confirms That Paintballs Are World’s Coolest Toner

There’s always a guerrilla undercurrent with graffiti, but the Facade Printer, which uses a computer-enhanced paintball gun to tattoo images onto buildings, really makes that aspect explicit. Judging by its work, it appears to have pretty good aim.The German contraption, which is comprised of an pressurized barrel mounted on a two-axis turntable, can blast pictures onto walls from a distance of 20 feet. It’s controlled by an on-board industrial PC running a custom touch interface.

MythBusters Paint Mona Lisa with 1,100 Shots from a Paintball Gun

In a presentation made at Nvidia’s NVISION show this week, Adam and Jamie unveiled a 1100 barrel paintball gun and-in an instant-painted a pretty convincing (if slightly drippy) Mona Lisa. In typical MythBusters fashion, the incredibly elaborate experiment was only tenuously linked to their hypothesis. The presentation was intended to represent the difference in operation between single and multicore processors, referring to current gen CPUs versus GPUs, respectively.
