Health overwhelmed financial problems in terms of causes of stress.

We are all stressed. Work can get some people down, and of course money is something we all worry about. But Americans with health issues are more likely to experience a great deal of stress than anyone else, according to a recent poll conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and NPR.

Millennials see financial institutions as irrelevant

Millennials are looking for ways to live bank-free in the future.

Scratch polled 10,000 millennials to find out which industry was most prime for disruption. The results from the poll found that banks make up four of their top 10 most hated brands, but millennials increasingly viewed these financial institutions as irrelevant.

Most American’s opposed to being killed by a drone: Poll

97% of those surveyed “strongly agreed” with the statement, “I personally do not want to be killed by a drone.”

The Administration’s controversial drone policy could be headed for a possible setback.  According to a new poll conducted by the University of Minnesota a broad majority of Americans are opposed to being killed by a drone strike on U.S. soil.

Quantum physicists agree to disagree about the nature of reality

Quantum physicists are still very divided on how quantum mechanics is to be interpreted.

Quantum mechanics is real. We wouldn’t have superconductors, lasers, and many forms of computing and cryptography without its microscopically small probabilistic effects. But despite our laboratory certainty, what’s less clear is the role it plays in the fundamental nature of reality. And as a recent survey published by Anton Zeilinger at the University of Vienna has revealed, quantum physicists are still very divided on how it’s to be interpreted.

Latin Americans are happiest people in the world

Happiest people live in Latin American countries.

Qatar is the richest county in the world but the world’s happiest people don’t live there.  They don’t live in Japan either, the country with the highest life expectancy.  With a chart-topping percentage of college graduates in Canada, they didn’t make the top 10 of the happiest people in the world either.

Most parents oppose collecting children’s information on the internet

Nine out of 10 adults said they believed advertisers should get a parent’s permission before collecting data on their children.

Overwhelmingly, parents object to personal information being collected on their children over the internet.  This is according to a new poll just released before federal officials are set to vote on a controversial proposal to strengthen child privacy laws.

So much for baby boomers and their dreams of retirement from kicking back at the lake house ot long afternoons of golf.  For many boomers, the plan now calls for logging more hours at the office and renewed worries about money, according to a new poll.
