Some kids experience childhood in poverty, lacking food and sanitation, while others are born in countries where basic necessities are taken for granted.  Photographer James Mollison came up with the project when he thought about his own childhood bedroom and how it reflected who he was.

Awesome portraits from the National Beard and Moustache Championships

A few weeks ago, the fourth annual National Beard and Moustache Championships, sponsored by Just for Men, took place in New Orleans. More than 150 people competed in the championship in 17 categories, including Amish, natural full beards, free-style, imperial mustache, and English mustache. (Photos)

The above video, created by filmmaker Anthony Cerniello, is equal parts mind-blowing and unsettling. With help from a couple of animators and a photographer, Cerniello, created the timelapse-like animation that captures the process of aging in a way we’ve never seen before.

Artist Eric Daigh Creates Amazing Portraits with Pushpins

Artist Eric Daigh, 33 year old husband, father born in California and now residing in Northern Michigan, creates portraits by putting ordinary pushpins in posterboard. Daigh uses blue, red, white, yellow and black push pins (he sprays green pushpins black since there are no black pushpins) to create his masterpieces. Each portrait requires about 11,000 pushpins which Daigh applies by one at a time. (Pics)
