Tobacco will kill 6 million people this year.

Nearly six million people, including 600,000 non-smokers, will die this this year from tobacco. Governments are not doing enough to persuade people to quit or protect others from second-hand smoke, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

Studies: Second-Hand Smoke Exposure Drops But Early Life Exposure Linked to Behavioral and Health Problems

Early-life exposure to second-hand smoking could lead to behavioral and health problems later in life.

American kids can breathe a sigh of relief, according to a study out today in the journal Pediatrics that finds their exposure to second-hand smoke at home has dropped significantly since the mid-1990s.
