CozyTherm Typical Installation

Featured invention at the DaVinci Inventor Showcase 2011

The CozyTherm™ is an innovative, very low-cost solar heating system designed to cut heating costs by half or more. When coupled with a heat storage system in a properly designed structure, it may provide nearly all the heating necessary throughout the year. It can be used with new construction or to retrofit existing homes, businesses, greenhouses or other structures.

Each unit consists of a series of small, lightweight collector panels, and a solar-powered blower control module connected by flexible ducts. The collector panels may be assembled in any configuration depending on the space available. They can be directly fastened to a wall, roof, or freestanding mount wherever they will get the most sunlight. The blower control module is 8 inches high, 14.5 inches wide and 6 inches deep, and can be easily mounted in most locations. No electrical wiring is required and, in many cases, the unit can be installed by the purchaser without the need to hire a contractor. Each unit is designed to heat approximately 400 square feet of floor space and will even provide heat with partial shading or light clouds.
