Why broadband users around the world are ditching pay-TV

chart.

According to Ericsson ConsumerLab’s annual TV & Media report, Digital streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are not the main reason broadband users are ditching pay-TV packages. The report reveals that almost half of broadband household users globally are cutting the cord because they are fed up with shelling out high prices for pay-TV packages. The Future of the Darknet: 9 Critically Important Predictions

Darknet-1

Futurist Thomas Frey:  Have you ever run across a situation so frustrating that you wished you could hire a “fixer?”

Maybe it has to do with gangs moving into your neighborhood, or the local slumlord not willing to repair a dangerous situation, or a local politician taking bribes, or finding out that your husband is also married to someone else in another state.

My guess is that we’ve all run into problems that are outside of our ability to deal with and we need help. But the help we need is not the normal kind. Probability of Singularity in Question

Exponential-vs-Logistical-Growth

In Colorado, 15 of the first 500 FAA exemptions were granted to permit commercial drones to fly. But enabling those and other waiting businesses to spur an estimated $232 million in economic impact — and create more than 1,190 jobs — in Colorado by 2017 hinges on long-delayed rules based on a 1946 U.S. Supreme Court case filed by a poultry farmer.
