The world’s smallest engraving by human hand has been completed on the edge of a razor blade.
Graham Short etched the motto “Nothing is impossible” which measures just a tenth of a millimetre. The letters are invisible to the naked eye, and can only be read with a medical microscope at 400 times magnification.
YouTube has just sealed a deal with RightsFlow, a music publishing rights management company.
RightsFlow today announced an agreement with YouTube to assist with music rights management. The process itself is not too difficult: simply color the bacteria, make sure it grows according to a mold, and then let them replicate into the shape of the mold…
A fractal is a geometric pattern that is repeated at ever smaller scales to produce irregular shapes and surfaces that cannot be represented by classical geometry. Fractal flames are a member of the iterated function system class of fractals. This animation was made with Apophysis 3D, an open source fractal flame editor.
What if social media were a high school? That’s the question Ethan Bloch tries to answer by slotting in the “types” of networks into his “yearbook”. Where would you fit into this system?
