10 things entrepreneurs fail at

success_is_99_failure_honda

James Altucher:  I was on the phone with Tony Conrad at True Ventures pitching a business idea I had in early 2009. The site was built and we even had people registered for it and I had about a half million dollars already committed but I wanted a VC firm on my side as well. I don’t know why. Maybe I thought it would give me some credibility and I desperately craved it after the divorce I had been going through.

IBM creates a bit of data using only 12 iron atoms

Letter S

Miniaturized information storage in atomic-scale antiferromagnets. The binary representation of the letter ‘S’ (01010011) was stored in the Neel states of eight iron atom arrays.

After five years of work, IBM announced on Thursday that its researchers have been able to reduce from about one million to 12 the number of atoms required to create a bit of data. (video)

World’s first desktop virtual reality design kit – Leonar3Do

IL CES Direct Feed

Some of the innovations at CES were basic and if you saw one of them you were going to see 20.
