Neuroscientists discover that two-way “conversations” with people in a permanent vegetative state will be possible thanks to an inexpensive device that can read their brain activity.

Wal-Mart may expand healthcare services at it’s clinics

 Wal-Mart already has 140 independently operated clinics in its stores across the country.

Wal-Mart may expand on its 140 in-store health clinics by partnering with outside vendors to provide chronic and preventative health care services for everything from HIV and diabetes to pregnancy testing.

FCC to provide low-income homes with cheap broadband internet service and computers

Low-income homes will be provided with $10 internet service and $150 computers.

Cable and computer firms along with the Federal Communications Commission have announced a program to provide low-income homes with $10 monthly broadband Internet service and $150 computers.

NASA creates groundbreaking super black light absorbing material

Even though NASA has drastically scaled back its missions into space, that doesn’t mean the agency has stopped research for the benefit of space exploration. Evidence of this comes in the form of a new, super-black material that just got unveiled during the SPIE Optics and Photonics conference.

NASA is claiming it is the most light absorbent material ever developed, and capable of absorbing 99% of ultraviolet, infrared, far-infrared, and visible light. That may not sound too impressive on its own until you find out what it can be used for and the benefits it brings…

AstroCantus – iPhone app creates music from stars and galaxies
