That’s the latest projection by the Partnership for New York City of how much the metro area stands to lose for each the next five years, if nothing is done to unjam cars.

Worlds first floating city to emerge in the Pacific Ocean by 2020

The concept of floating cities may sound like something from a science fiction novel, but it could become a reality by 2020. Seasteading Institute, a San Francisco-based nonprofit has been developing this idea since the foundation of the organization in 2008, and it has reached an agreement with the government of French Polynesia to begin testing in its waters.

Shake Shack is launching a cashless burger joint in NYC

Shake Shack is trialling a cash-free location, where the only ordering option will be via kiosks, at its NYC Astor Place location. The new spot will open in early October, per the company, and will feature custom-made kiosks that feature touchscreen ordering, with built-in text message alerts for when orders are ready for pickup.

Greg Whitby:  I had the pleasure of speaking at the 2017 Edutech conference in Sydney recently. The conference is a ‘finger on the pulse’ on what is happening in schooling and the trends that are shaping the educational landscape.

Interesting isn’t it that we live at a time where we have moved on from talking about trends and data to ‘mega-trends’ and ‘big-data’. Connectivity, scaleability and mobility have been massive game-changers in that we no longer see business dictating trends. Instead we have technology delivering greater power to clients, customers and learners.
