CHASE, a consortium funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and featuring scientists from top universities such as Princeton and Yale, focuses on developing renewable energy technologies to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. While wind and solar power have successfully met electricity demands, industries like heavy transport still require energy-dense fuels, which cannot rely solely on battery technology.
