Within a single year, illegal drone sightings in New York City have increased by 68 percent.
When New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo vowed to establish the state’s first drone-testing corridor, this is probably not what he had in mind. New York City has seen an increase in illegal drone use of 68 percent from the first three quarters of 2016 compared with the same period in 2017.

Air Ticket Arena is a UK-based start-up that launched in February.
It lets you bid on unsold airplane tickets up to two weeks before the departure date.
It’s only available on Android, but will be available on iOs next month.
The launch is expected to also deploy two experimental communications satellites. The two satellites may test aspects of Starlink, a project to bath Earth in high-speed internet access.
The Starlink plan calls for nearly 12,000 interlinked satellites — many more than currently orbit Earth — but Musk and SpaceX have been relatively quiet about it.
What if first contact with extraterrestrial life isn’t a UFO landing in the middle of Central Park, but rather just a message sent across the stars? What might be hidden inside that alien communication?

A section of the electronic skin developed by scientists at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Biomedicine just took another leap forward. University of Colorado Boulder scientists created so-called electronic skin—e-skin for short. The e-skin is a thin, semi-transparent material that can act like your skin through measuring temperature, pressure, humidity and air flow. The new material, which was detailed in a study published Friday in Science Advances, could make better prosthetics, improve the safety of robots in the future and aid development of other biomedical devices.
